Oda MP initiates jobs for 3 SCHOOLS


The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Fellow member of Parliament for Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has started the construction of educational facilities for three schools at Akyem Oda. The particular projects are a six classroom obstruct for the Oda Presbyterian A and C primary universities; a computer lab complex with workplaces and auxiliary facilities for the Saint Luke Roman Catholic Junior High Institution and a 10-seater host to convenience for the Oda Presbyterian cluster of schools.

Speaking at the sod slicing ceremony, Mr Acquah recalled that next a rainstorm that hit Oda on April 5, 2021, a number of structures, including institution blocks, were ruined. He explained that he, along with the City Chief Executive for Birim Central, Microsoft Victoria Adu, and the Senior Usa president Advisor, Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, got the support of the Ghana Education Rely on Fund (GETFUND) and other organisations to re-roof the universities. Mr Acquah, however, said during his tour of the schools, he determined other needs hence the provision of the facilities for those language universities.

He said all the projects have been awarded to local contractors who were anticipated to complete the projects within about three months. Regarding her part, Microsoft Adu, who slice the sod for the commencement of, commended Mr Acquah for his quick reply in resolving some of the challenges in the municipality.
