Ghana Has Lost The Spirit Of Volunteerism – Inna Patty


Chief Executive Official (CEO) of Unique Events Ghana Restricted, organizers of the Miss Ghana Pageantry, Inna Mariam Patty, has expressed unhappiness over the country losing its soul of volunteerism. Based on her, the country has evolved into a cash and have system where people with regard to money in the simple task of offering a assisting hand to each other.

“The soul of volunteering has vanished in this country. If you ask people especially the youth to volunteer, first thing they ask is how much will you pay me? I showed up at the airport terminal some time back again and asked some guys around to help me with my things and so they asked for how much I am going to pay them, ” she disclosed unfortunately. She questioned the most popular notion, Ghana is a hospital country if no-one is currently willing to offer of help another with no strings connected.

Esrkine, sponsor of the Myd Morning Show, the girl disclosed how the girl was received graciously by some Chinese language students when the girl have got to the airport terminal. She indicated that the Chinese students rushed to help her check-in the girl bags and do it without requesting for anything. “The students were learning English at the Hainan University and volunteered at the airport as a way of communicating with travelers to help these organizations improve after their English. When one volunteers, the person you help away is automatically bent in the path of tipping them. The students declined and I offered to have them espresso and we combined dough. ”

The girl urged Ghanaian youngsters, especially students to have a well balanced life and not only target teachers. “Be part of activities and volunteer. ”
