Dubai is an Inspiration for Africa - Alan Kyerematen Says

 Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen describes Dubai as a source of inspiration for Africa in terms of long-standing African development. He said the huge investment in Dubai's infrastructure is certainly one of the ways Ghana can resume its economy, especially after the turmoil caused by the outbreak of COVID 19. 

 Kyerematen attended Expo 2020 in Dubai and welcomed future investors to attend the Ghana National Foundation Day Business Forum held here today. (March 8, 2021). The theme of the forum was Ghana: Endless Opportunities. It focused on presenting participants with business opportunities in five major sectors. The sectors were tourism, investment in Ghana, trade finance, energy, industrial estates and free zones. 

Leaders from various institutions related to these sectors took turns introducing various activities to the participants. These include the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC), Ghana Tourism Board (GTA),  Ghana Free Zone Bureau (GFZA), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Ghana Gas and Ghana Exim Bank. 

 Kyerematen said the forum was  held at a good time when Ghana  needed to urgently show the endless possibilities of attracting investors. He said that Dubai 50 years ago is a dream that it is working on to become a reality of development that has emerged.  In his presentation, GIPC CEO Kofi Grant showed attendees a video summarizing the opportunities available in the sector. rice field.  Ghana's economic direction is to increase the value of  natural resources, he said.
