Atiwa West faces physical challenges to find a job

Nineteen people with physical disabilities from different communities in the Western District of Ativa in the Eastern District were provided with tools. These kits, which include refrigerators, freezers, ice boxes, sewing machines, industrial machines, hairdryers, stoves and gas cylinders, will be used to generate income for their livelihood. Some people with physical disabilities have also been given things like men's shoes and soap to sell to increase their income.

According to Gloria Niavar, West Ativa's Welfare Officer, the required items were delivered to interested parties. She said that the initiative, which started in 2018, has already covered many people with physical problems in the region and has formed 19 stakeholder groups such as the 10th. Niapo, who advised customers to use the items for their intended purpose, said her outfits made regular visits to ensure they did so.

Atiwa Western District (DCE) Chief Executive Officer, Seth Ashanti, said that with the government making physically disabled people a percentage of the Area Council Common Fund (DACF) has been set aside to meet their needs. He patiently reassured him that he would receive the physically handicapped in  areas that have not yet benefited from the bounty.
